There are different types of makeup removers designed for skin type as well as uses. Learn about your options here.
Although most makeup will fade throughout the day, it is still important to remove your makeup every single night. If you do not take the time to remove your makeup each night, it can clog up the pores of your face and cause breakouts on your skin. While some facial cleansers may remove some makeup, removers will need to be used for most makeup. For additional information on remover for your face see the remover for your face page.
Consider Your Skin Type
There are many different types of removers to choose from; however, usually it is best to find a product that is designed for your specific skin type. If you have very oily skin, then you’ll need a specific product for removing makeup. Also, if your skin is dry or sensitive, then you’ll want to find a removal product that won’t cause you any more skin problems.
There are gels, creams, and mousses available, so you are sure to find a formulation that is designed for your specific skin type. There are also different types of removers for different areas such as your lips. For additional information on remover for your lips see the remover for your lips page.
Using Removers
Once you find the right remover for your skin type, then it is time to apply it. Be sure to read the instructions on removers before you use them to make sure you use as directed. Some removers may need to be left on your skin for a few minutes to dissolve away the makeup.
Once you are done you can use cotton balls to remove the residue that is left on the skin. Make sure that you do not irritate your skin by scrubbing it to get the makeup off. If it doesn’t come off right away, then go ahead and use a bit more remover.
As a general rule, you won’t want to use removers around your eyes. If you tend to use eye makeup on a regular basis, then you may want to pick up a special remover for your eye makeup, since the skin around your eyes is sensitive. For additional information on remover for your eyes see the eye makeup remover page.
Remember, keeping your face clean and clear is important, so be sure to use makeup removers on a regular basis to keep your skin looking great.
